			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Do easy ways to lose weight exist?  It&#8217;s common knowledge that diet, cutting down on caloric intake, and exercise, increasing the number of calories you burn, work together as a formula for weight loss.  But sticking to the diet is the hard part.  It won&#8217;t be effortless, but with a little work it sure is possible.  Here are some tips to make it easier.</p>
<p>Carry a notebook to jot down everything that passes your lips.  Keeping notes will help you eat less.  Studies show that people who keep track of what they eat end up eating 15% less.  15% is a lot.</p>
<p>On average Americans consume 245 calories a day from drinks.  Make the switch to 0 calorie water.  245 calories a day add up to 90,000 calories each year.  That&#8217;s 25 lbs.  Water isn&#8217;t that bad, is it?  Keep in mind too that juice and soda don&#8217;t trigger a feeling of fullness, despite their calories.</p>
<p>Eat five or six smaller meals a day instead of three large meals a day.  Eating more meals with smaller portions results in eating 30% fewer calories.  Furthermore, even the same number of calories eaten in smaller portions during more frequent meals can result in weight loss.  You&#8217;re less likely to binge because the body releases less insulin.</p>
<p>Make sure your wardrobe only includes the “skinny” clothes.  If you don&#8217;t have clothes that are comfortable when you&#8217;re fat, you&#8217;re more likely to be reminded to keep slim every time you dress.  And you&#8217;re less likely to gain weight if doing so means having to buy a whole new wardrobe.</p>
<p>Use smaller plates.  It&#8217;s proven that people eat what&#8217;s in front of them.  Smaller plates mean smaller portions, so put the salad plates into use as the main plate.</p>
<p>Similar to the idea of using smaller plates, serve your food on the plate rather than in bowls on the table.  Again, people tend to eat what&#8217;s in front of them.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t eat white bread, sugar or white rice.  Those are the foods with loads of carbohydrates which lead to higher blood sugar and weight gain.  Do eat whole grain breads and brown rice.  Don&#8217;t be concerned with the sugar, pretty soon you won&#8217;t miss it.</p>
<p>Weight loss isn&#8217;t easy, but relatively speaking there are easy ways to lose weight.  Don&#8217;t think it won&#8217;t take a little work.  If weight loss were easy everyone would be slim all the time.</p>

<p>Calorie cycling or calorie shifting is quickly becoming a popular weight loss method .  Calorie shifting is a simple method that involves tricking the body into maintaining a high metabolism, high burn mode even when fewer calories are consumed.  It&#8217;s been used for a long time by bodybuilders and athletes who have to hit weight without losing muscle .  The best thing about calorie shifting is that it can work to lose weight even if you don&#8217;t skimp on calories.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how it works.  Shift the nutrients and calories consumed each day while maintaining the times you normally eat.  Because it&#8217;s well planned in the beginning it&#8217;s very easy to execute.  Many on line sources include simple instructions and calorie shifting menus.</p>

<p>Skipping meals is one of the first things people often try when they want to lose weight.  It makes sense, right, cut out the calories by eating one fewer meal.  Fewer calories means losing weight, right?  Yes, but skipping meals is a mistake, not the right way to reduce calories.  When you skip meals your body goes into starvation mode.  It starts to retain fat to counteract what it perceives as a shortage of food.  When you skip meals you&#8217;ll end up hungrier at the next meal.  The result is binge eating.  Skipping a meal plus binge eating, then, will likely result in eating more calories and the body gaining even more weight from those calories than normally.  It&#8217;s the worst of both worlds.  Don&#8217;t skip meals.</p>
<p>Have a plan on how much to eat.  It&#8217;s called portion control and it&#8217;s as important as eating the right foods.  Too much of even a healthy food will still result in weight gain.  Portion control isn&#8217;t easy when large portions are so common.  Restaurants and even most people in home cooking serve portions far larger than needed.  Sources such as the FDA list recommended daily allowances.  If you must eat out, keep portion size in mind.  You&#8217;ll likely have to cut down on what a restaurant serves.</p>
<p>Replace white foods such as white bread, white rice and sugar with whole grain foods.  Whole grains are lower in fat and higher in nutrients.  The fiber in whole grains helps you become full faster, and feel fuller longer.  Also whole grains contain many nutrients that are often lacking in people&#8217;s diets.</p>
<p>Drink more water.  Drink it instead of juices and sodas which add about 90,000 calories to the average person&#8217;s diet each year.  Drink water between meals too.  The goal is 8 glasses of water each day.  It&#8217;s easily possible.  Drinking water also promotes health in general by keeping you well hydrated and cool.</p>
<p>In order to maintain proper blood sugar eat healthy snacks between meals since the body needs food every three to four hours.  Healthy snacks also help control eating at meal times.</p>
<p>Fast weight loss isn&#8217;t impossible with a little knowledge and planning.  Keep these things in mind and pretty soon you&#8217;ll see a slimmer you when you look into a mirror.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s a three day diet guaranteed to take off pounds.  But remember, it has to be part of an overall eating plan and should not be maintained for more than 3 days|But make sure it&#8217;s just one element of an overall healthy eating program.</p>
<p>For day on breakfast is black coffee or tea (with Sweet &amp; Low or Equal) or a glass of water, 1/2 Grapefruit or eight oz Juice, and 1 slice of toast with 1 tablespoon of Peanut Butter.  Lunch is 1/2 Cup of Tuna on 1 slice of toast and black coffee or tea (sweetened with Sweet &amp; Low or Equal) or a glass of water.  Dinner is three ounces of a lean meat, a cup of green beans, a cup of carrots, a cup of vanilla ice cream, 1 medium apple, and to drink black coffee or tea (with Sweet &amp; Low or Equal) or a glass of water.</p>
<p>Day two breakfast is black coffee or tea (with Sweet &amp; Low or Equal) or a glass of water, One egg cooked any style, 1 piece of toast, and 1 banana.  Lunch is 1 cup of cottage cheese or tuna, five saltine crackers, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet &amp; Low or Equal) or a glass of water.  Dinner is 2 beef franks or hot dogs, 1/2 cup of carrots,1 banana, 1 cup of broccoli or cabbage, 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet &amp; Low or Equal) or water.</p>
<p>And finally day three breakfast consists of black coffee or tea (with Sweet &amp; Low or Equal) or a glass of water, five plain saltine crackers, 1 ounce(slice) cheddar cheese, and an apple.  Lunch consists of 1 hard boiled egg, a piece of toast, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet &amp; Low or Equal) or a glass of water.  Dinner is 1 cup of tuna, 1 cup of carrots, 1 cup of cauliflower, 1 cup of melon, a half cup of regular vanilla ice cream, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet &amp; Low or Equal) or a glass of water.</p>
<p>Lemons, salt and pepper, and mustard can be used as wanted.  You can also make substitutions such as cottage cheese for tuna, an orange for grapefruit, and frozen yogurt for ice cream.  Keep in mind that this fast weight loss diet is meant to be a 3 day diet, only to be used in conjunction with an overall healthy diet.  Another great idea is to ask the local hospital what they serve for patients on low calorie diets.</p>

<p>Every day, seven days a week, do some sort of aerobic activity.  When your heart pumps faster, not so fast it struggles, but enough to make you sweat you&#8217;re doing aerobic exercise.  Walking, running, swimming, even some types of yard work are aerobic exercises.  For another step towards better health, add intervals to the aerobics.  }These are bursts of higher activity that help boost the metabolism even more|Periods of higher activity that help boost the metabolism even more are intervals}.  That means jog between periods of walking, or burst to speed while swimming at an easy pace.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s wrong to think exercise only has to be three to five days a week.  Don&#8217;t believe it.  The body needs this work every day.  For an activity to perform every day, make sure it&#8217;s something not too difficult.  The best time for aerobic activity is before breakfast, so the body burns stored fat.  Throw in an extra 10-30 minute walk after lunch or dinner to this exercise routing, in addition to the 30 minutes.  Finally, find opportunities to move.  This can mean anything from parking further from the office so you have to walk from the car to the door, to using the stairs instead of the elevator, to raking leaves rather than blowing them.</p>
<p>Tone muscles with weight training at least three times each week.  Increased muscle mass means a faster metabolism.  A faster metabolism means burning more calories, and thus more fat, even when you&#8217;re simply performing routine, day to day activities.  You&#8217;ll also generally look and feel better.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t skip breakfast|Never skip breakfast, lunch or dinner.  Doing so drops your body into starvation mode where it burns calories more slowly.  A slow metabolism is the enemy of fat burning.  Remember too that eating too little will also drop the body into starvation mode.  Most people need to consume at least 1200 calories daily.</p>
<p>Results are pretty amazing when fat burning workouts combine with healthy eating.  It doesn&#8217;t have to be difficult.  In fact if it&#8217;s too hard you&#8217;ll lose motivation and drop the program.  Most people make it less than a month with a new workout routine.  Don&#8217;t be one of these flash in the pan health enthusiasts.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>People live at a slower pace in the modern world, at least when it comes to physical activity. Chopping wood, physical labor, life was physically more demanding in the old days.  More people drive more often, do less physical work, and have modern appliances and conveniences to carry the load. When that fact is combined with the high amount of processed  and preserved food that we consume, the result is all too certain.  Americans are overweight. And fat isn&#8217;t just a look. Hypertension, stroke and heart disease can all come from carrying too much weight. In other words, it&#8217;s a matter of life and death. For this reason, many of us need to consider weight loss through a diet.  And for most people with tight budgets, without much extra to spend, free diet programs are the best.</p>
<p>Free diet programs are all around us.  Those that aren&#8217;t part of an overall healthy eating plan don&#8217;t generally work.  The best way to lose weight is natural, healthy, easy, and best of all it&#8217;s free.  Eat less, exercise more.  While exercise will make you fitter, exercise alone will not make you lose weight.  By the same token eating would likely have to be cut to a dangerously low level if physical activity isn&#8217;t increased.  Combine the two as part of a normal, sustainable regimen to take off the weight and keep off the weight.</p>
<p>Want a simple way to reduce caloric intake without the cost of specialty diet programs that include expensive food?  Cut down the portions.  That&#8217;s right.  Eat the same foods but less of them.  There are a lot of sources to find the caloric and nutritional value of foods when planning portion reduction.  Drop 90,000 calories a year, for the typical person, simply by replacing soda and juice with water.  Or, if you like tea or coffee drink those.  The caffeine in regular coffee and tea helps speed the metabolism and that means burning calories.</p>
<p>On the other side of the equation throw away the ridiculous advice to exercise at least five times a week.  Maintain aerobic exercise 30 minutes a day seven days a week.  Add some extra activity by walking further from the car to the store (park further away,) taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and raking instead of blowing leaves.</p>
<p>{There it is, exercise combined with free diet programs to lose weight.  Live it, love it|Free diet programs plus exercise equal how sweet it is and how slim you are.</p>

<p>Many of these fad diets, such as the notorious and outright insane Cabbage Soup Diet, will undermine your health, cause physical discomfort (abdominal discomfort and flatulence (gas) ) and lead to the ping-pong effect of gaining weight soon after losing it.  In other words the risks aren&#8217;t worth the rewards.</p>
<p>Quick-weight-loss diets generally put far too much focus on one particular food or type of  food. They don&#8217;t include a variety of foods or good balance, a violation of the first principle of good nutrition, eat a balanced diet that includes a variety of foods. Because no one food has all the nutrients required for good health, these diets can result in a lot of health problems. One such diet is the Cabbage Soup Diet. This so-called fat-burning soup is eaten mostly with fruits and vegetables. People supposedly lost 10-17 pounds in only a week, eating primarily cabbage soup.  On top of not working to lose weight, this diet lacks essential nutrients and can cause serious problems.  Pixies, elves and fairies, or even cabbages, can&#8217;t provide magical weight loss.  Moderation and consuming all the major food groups is the best bet.</p>
<p>The second principle of good nutrition is that eating should be enjoyable.  You think eating only cabbage soup every day is enjoyable?. These diets are so monotonous and boring that it&#8217;s almost impossible to stay on them for long periods.  Consider a week on the Cabbage Soup Diet.  By Wednesday you&#8217;d dread meal time, and by Friday you&#8217;d never again want to look at a cabbage much less eat the soup.  They&#8217;d cart you off in a straight jacket by week&#8217;s end.</p>
<p>Boredom isn&#8217;t the only reason fad diets aren&#8217;t good ones.  Many don&#8217;t include physical activity, for example, walking 30 minutes most or all days of the week. Physical activity helps maintain weight loss, while physical inactivity is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke.  When a diet mentions no need for a workout, run the other way.</p>
<p>Quick weight loss is possible. But if a program sounds too good to be true, it is.</p>

<p>Baloney!  Americans still spend upwards of $40 billion on weight loss products that mostly don&#8217;t work.  Failure doesn&#8217;t stop new diets from springing up out of the wood work, or people from trying them.  Remember Joe Frazier&#8217;s diet, chew the food but spit it out?  He said it made him full and gave him all the nutrients without the fat.  See, mimes had the secret to weight loss all the time.  Then there are the magic pills, creams, and diet supplements that guarantee to burn pounds without exercise, guaranteed.  No that wasn&#8217;t a typo, they mention the word guarantee so often it starts to lose meaning.  And when they don&#8217;t mention exactly what is involved in the “guarantee” it doesn&#8217;t have any meaning.  It&#8217;s simply a tricking people to think the product works.</p>
<p>Another diet is the VLCD or Very Low Calorie Diet.  They work, and studies prove it.  The problem is they are often sold to people for home use to drop a few pounds.  The issue is that&#8217;s not how VLCDs were designed.  When people are so much overweight it becomes a health problem, VLCDs were made to come to the rescue.  These diets often include eating half or less of their daily caloric intake.  They&#8217;re designed to be implemented in medically supervised closed settings, where people can&#8217;t cheat.  When used outside of a closed setting, often a clinic called a “fat farm,” these diets can be harmful to the dieters health and will generally not work because of binge eating after a period of partial starvation.</p>
<p>Rapid weight loss, if it works, creates a number of problems with the body.  Painful Gallstones develop in up to 25% of people who lose large amounts of weight over a few months.  Uneducated dieters can often become dehydrated because they don&#8217;t realize a large portion of the water people need to drink comes from foods.  It&#8217;s easy to compensate for this by drinking more water.  Malnutrition can develop from not eating enough protein over a long period of time.  The body can even become unable to process protein, which leads to serious illness and even death.</p>
<p>Rapid weight loss is a great idea.  But it&#8217;s not for most people, and should be administered and supervised by qualified medical professionals.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What&#8217;s the secret to lose weight for free?  Is it a mystery beyond the pyramids, UFO&#8217;s, ghostly appearances, or the single sock?  When people look in the mirror at their fat self it may seem to be.  But it&#8217;s pretty simple.  Here are some ideas.</p>
<p>Catch a virus.  No really, get sick.  As long as you get better, serious illness is a great way to shed pounds.  People lose weight while in the hospital.  It sounds silly, and it is silly.  So forget it.</p>
<p>Calorie deprivation is a great way to lose weight.  That means consuming less calories than you burn.  Drink nothing but water to force your body to burn fat reserves.  If you have the constitution to keep this up for a whole year, you&#8217;re set.  All of that is a joke, except for the part about eating less than you burn.  It shouldn&#8217;t be as extreme as only water for meals, but drinking water instead of juices and soda would save the average person about 90,000 calories each year, that&#8217;s 25 pounds worth of calories.  So cut down on amounts of food and drink the water, not the koolaid.</p>
<p>Exercise every day until complete exhaustion.  Keep up activity for hours and hours a day, seven days a week.  Were any of the slaves who built pyramids in the Moses movies over weight?  We don&#8217;t build pyramids any more but we can work out, in moderation.  It doesn&#8217;t have to be hours and hours of torture every day, but 30 minutes of aerobic exercise seven days a week is terrific.  While seven days a week is best, if you can&#8217;t do it, go for six, or five, or even four.  Try for every day but if you miss a day here or there don&#8217;t panic.</p>
<p>Bodybuilders burn more calories just standing around.  So strap yourself to the car and pull it for 10 miles a day, uphill.  Become a hulk, a mass of muscles so large that you have to binge eat just to keep up with the wild metabolism.  |Of course, in the real world weight training doesn&#8217;t have to be to the level of a marine drill instructor|Ok, so really just weight train in moderation}.  Keep off the pounds with muscle training at least three days a week.  In the long run muscles burn more calories than fat, even without moving.</p>
<p>Insanity isn&#8217;t needed to shed pounds.  It doesn&#8217;t take a lot of cash, or any money.  Lose weight for free with diet and exercise.  Eat less than you burn.</p>
